LeadingAge sent a letter to Congressional leaders to advocate for a year-end legislative package that includes immigration reform. The letter urges action on four bills that would secure residency status for immigrant workers, make better use of unused employment-based immigrant visas, and create a new visa system to enable hiring of temporary workers. It also recommends action on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program to stabilize the status of more than 10 million immigrants currently in the United States.
