On March 6, LeadingAge, the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC), the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO), and the National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation (NPHI) met with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to continue the conversation on hospice program integrity reform after a February meeting with Administrator Brooks-LaSure.

The conversation included the Chief Medical Officer and Director of the Center for Clinical Standards and Quality (CCSQ) and the Director of the Center for Program Integrity (CPI). The group discussed our 34 recommendations in more detail, as well as active steps CMS is taking to review their existing authorities. The group also discussed the role of states to improve oversight of the licensure process.

Both CCSQ and CPI were committed to continuing the conversation with us.
