The federal response to vaccination during the COVID-19 pandemic has been released in a white paper, “Expand & Ensure Access to All Vaccines for Long-Term Care Residents.” The paper is based on a January roundtable convened by the Alliance for Aging Research and the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, in which LeadingAge participated.

Recommendations from the roundtable include leveraging lessons and best practices from the COVID-19 pandemic, addressing the barriers to vaccine uptake, improving vaccine confidence, and stressing the importance of collaboration and coordination. The 35-page report has input from more than 45 individuals representing a variety of stakeholders.
