New PRF Reporting Period Added and Other Key Dates – Updated
- Friday, April 22, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. ET: Deadline to submit a Late Reporting Request for providers who failed to submit a required report due to an extenuating circumstance for Reporting Period 1(RP1). For more details on this process, click here. Note: If you received a Repayment Letter in March for RP1, HRSA no longer wants you to return those funds at this time until the Late Reporting Process is complete.
- April 30, 2022: If you are required to return some portion of your PRF payments following completion of submitting your Reporting Period 2 report, you have until April 30 to return those “unused” dollars. Here is the link to more information on how to return funds.
- May 2, 2022: This is the deadline to submit a request for reconsideration of your Phase 4 and/or ARP Rural payments. More information on how to return funds can be found here.
- Week of May 9, 2022: Providers who submitted a Late Reporting Request for Reporting Period 1 will be notified if their request was approved or denied. If approved, providers will have 10 days from notification to submit the late report for RP1.
- May 13, 2022: This is the deadline to submit a Late Report Request for Reporting Period 2. Providers still must meet one or more of the extenuating circumstances to be considered for this late reporting option.
- June 30, 2022: This is the date by which you must spend your PRF payments you received between January 1 to June 30, 2021. Coronavirus expenses incurred now can be reported and applied to these payments when reporting begins July 1, 2022. Now is the time to plan ahead and make sure you have sufficient coronavirus expenses and lost revenues to offset your PRF distributions. For nursing homes who received Nursing Home Infection Control Quality Incentive Payments (NHIC QIP) during this time, you must make sure you have sufficient infection control expenses to offset the NHIC QIP funds received.
- July 1, 2022: PRF Reporting Portal opens to commence reporting for Reporting Period 3 covering funds received between January 1 – June 30, 2021.
- September 30, 2022: Last day to submit Reporting Period 3 reports.
- September 30, 2023: Due date of the final PRF report for new Reporting Period 5, which will cover payments received January 1 – June 30, 2022. (Phase 4 payments)
