The October 2023 refresh for the home health care and nursing homes care is now available on Care Compare.
For this refresh, Home Health (HH) Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) will be based on the standard number of quarters. The HH Quality Reporting Program (QRP) claims-based measures have been updated for this refresh and are now based on the standard number of quarters. The October 2023 refresh contains some new additions, revisions, and clarifications for the following measures:
- New claims-based measure for public reporting: Potentially Preventable Hospitalizations (PPH).
- Remove an OASIS measure from public reporting: Drug education on all medications provided to patient/caregiver.
- Not based on standardized number of quarters: Potentially Preventable 30-Day Post-Discharge Readmission (PPR).
For nursing home care, the October refresh is also a quarterly refresh, and this quarter is the first time that Flu Vaccination Coverage Among Healthcare Personnel is being publicly reported for nursing homes.
