In a September 4, 2025 letter to Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Dr. Mehmet Oz, administrator, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), LeadingAge, the American Seniors Housing Association (ASHA), the American Business Immigration Coalition (ABIC) and the National Continuing Care Residents Association (NaCCRA) urge the agency heads and the Trump administration to rethink the current policy terminations of categorical humanitarian parole programs and temporary protected status for foreign-born workers from certain countries.
