LeadingAge and 40 other organizations on October 8, 2025, reiterated support of HR 3954 that enables the inclusion of both hospital inpatient and observations stays toward meeting the three-day stay statutory requirement for individuals enrolled in traditional Medicare who need care in a skilled nursing facility.
