What's the Media Saying about LeadingAge and SOTU?

According to the Washington Post, President Biden mentioned seniors (or older adults) nine times over the course of his State of the Union Address. That’s the most this group of people has been mentioned in any State of the Union in the past 40 years.

SOTU Reax: “With the Nation at an Inflection Point, Aging Services Are at a Crossroads.”

In a press statement from president and CEO Katie Smith Sloan, LeadingAge reacts to President Biden’s 2023 State of the Union Address.

“Tonight, President Biden spoke about a country that is at an inflection point where, if we make the right choices, a better future lies ahead. In many ways, aging services are at a similar crossroads, where the critical policy decisions we make today will decide if we’re moving toward a more equitable future for all as we grow older,” said Sloan.
