A proposed Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) rule that expands access to telehealth services could be a win for home health providers and technology vendors, according to a recent article in Home Health Care News (HHCN), as well as patients.

In October, CMS proposed a rule that would give Medicare Advantage (MA) plans more flexibility to reimburse telehealth benefits in urban and rural locations. Currently, only clinical settings in rural areas can receive that reimbursement, with some exceptions in Alaska and Hawaii.
