Virtual Reality for Customized Treatment

XRHealth offers a learning system technology for patients with conditions like autism, anxiety, and chronic pain. It collects biometric and motion data such as blood pressure, heart rate, and breathing rate on a virtual reality headset and uses telehealth to connect with a provider. The data provides insights to a learning system that adjusts the patient’s training and treatment protocols.

The technology will be the first to combine the Apple watch with Apple’s new augmented reality headset Apple Vision Pro to provide closed loop treatment enabled by artificial intelligence (AI), according to a company statement. “Virtual reality to treat chronic conditions could be game-changer” shared the news as well as the benefits of using virtual reality to treat psychosocial disorders, anxiety, loneliness, and depression.

Under development is a smartwatch that can predict falls up to 32 days in advance.
