The 2023 Annual Meeting is just around the corner, and we’re excited to welcome all 5,000-plus members to the largest gathering of our membership. From two amazing keynotes to 150-plus sessions to the engaging E2 (Experience Expo) and more, the LeadingAge team has a stellar lineup waiting for you in Chicago this November.
But the Annual Meeting is much more than top-notch education. Members like you are truly the “secret sauce” to making it an incredible event.
Throughout my tenure of nearly 30 years, I’ve seen firsthand the power of the LeadingAge community at our events, like the spontaneous problem-solving conversations between conference sessions, the exchange of handshakes and hugs after reconnecting, or the bonding over our shared mission to ensure that older adults receive the high-quality services and supports they need and deserve.
Members teaching members what they do best is what we’ve heard makes the Annual Meeting so unique:
“LeadingAge events are different from other conferences in that they combine education with rich conversation both in and in between sessions. We’re able to share ideas with colleagues and offer help ourselves.”
– Mike Rambarose, Whitney Center
“The Annual Meeting gives you an opportunity to talk with others who might have experiences that you don’t have yet and build relationships with peers in different areas so you can bounce ideas off of each other in a safe space.”
– Mary Helton, A.G. Rhodes Health & Rehab Cobb
“LeadingAge members are like family. It gives you an opportunity, even as you’re growing within your career, to talk to people who might have experiences you don’t have yet.”
– Erica Thrash-Sall, Horizon House
“As a nonprofit, you must be thoughtful when you send staff to a conference. I know if someone goes to LeadingAge, we’ll bring back solutions that we can use immediately within our community. So, it’s not just theoretical; it’s very practical. I find it inspiring to talk to people who are also experiencing the same struggles we do.”
– Cathleen Toomey, RiverWoods Group
“The most valuable parts of LeadingAge conferences are the intentional connections that are created and fostered.”
– Jeff Weatherhead, Plymouth Harbor on Sarasota Bay
“When I come to a LeadingAge conference, it’s an incredible opportunity to network, learn from each other, and most importantly, the ability to get on the phone, reach out, and have a helping hand.”
– Roberto Muñiz, Parker Health Group
There are countless opportunities to learn, connect, network, and grow at the LeadingAge Annual Meeting. From all the informal opportunities to swap ideas, expertise, and insights with others between sessions or in our collaboration spaces to our special programs for new CEOs, CEOs of Multi-site Organizations (CEMO), and Leaders of Color Network, nowhere else can you find the kind of community, creativity, and collaboration among our members that Annual Meeting inspires!
I hope you’ll join me and thousands of fellow LeadingAge members from November 5–8 in Chicago!
