LeadingAge joined more than 200 organizations on February 22 in urging congress to permanently allow telehealth flexibilities enacted during the pandemic. The letter urges Senate and House leadership to recognize how telehealth has expanded access to care and services, and urges action before the statutory expiration of December 31, 2024.

The flexibilities were used by more than 63 million Americans to access services in rural and underserved areas, particularly when advanced specialists like oncologists weren’t available for in-person appointments.
