The Trump administration has nominated Craig Trainor for a top position within the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Trainor’s nomination for assistant secretary for fair housing and equal opportunity was announced on February 11.
Mr. Trainor is an attorney currently serving as an acting assistant secretary at the U.S. Department of Education. He previously worked as special counsel for Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH).
To date, according to the Washington Post, the administration has nominated three positions at HUD, including Secretary Turner, Craig Trainor to lead HUD’s fair housing office, and Benjamin DeMarzo as assistant secretary for congressional and intergovernmental relations.
Both Mr. DeMarzo and Mr. Trainor’s nominations will be considered by the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs.
