The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services submitted the CY 2024 Home Health Prospective Payment System Rate Update and Home Infusion Therapy Services Payment Update (CMS-1780) final rule to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review on September 27. OMB’s review is the final step before publication of any proposed or final rules. It is likely the home health final rule will be formally published by the end of October. The outcome of the final rule is an important factor in driving forward the Preserving Access to Home Health Care Act of 2023 because Congress is waiting to see what CMS does with the overwhelming comments against the proposed cuts.
