HUD/HHS COVID-19 Vaccinations & Testing Toolkit
HUD and HHS have released a new COVID-19 vaccinations and testing toolkit.
The toolkit is part of HUD and HHS’s ongoing collaboration to improve vaccine and testing access across HUD’s affordable housing portfolio, including in affordable senior housing.
The toolkit includes various resources, including links related to building vaccine confidence, holding onsite vaccine clinics, and how area agencies on aging can help in vaccine access. The joint toolkit is part of a larger effort to increase access to COVID-19 resources in disproportionately affected communities.
The toolkit also includes an interactive map where the insertion of an address or zip code results in a map showing the location of HUD-assisted housing and of federally-qualified health centers, which are tasked with helping housing providers expand vaccine access for residents and staff.
Providers and older adults themselves can contact the Eldercare Locator to help identify vaccine locations and other resources at 800-677-1116 (Monday to Friday, 9 am to 8 pm ET).
