LeadingAge submitted comments on the FY2025 Hospice Wage Index Rule on May 28. In 2023, LeadingAge developed multiple recommendations to push the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to modernize the hospice benefit.

LeadingAge responded to a request from a member of Congress with a memo around reforms and improvements to the hospice benefit. We also argued for a higher overall increase in hospice payment to meet the continued staffing crisis. Finally, LeadingAge made extensive comments to the new Hospice Outcomes and Patient Evaluation tool as well as the CAHPS survey changes.
