Updated CAST Telehealth and RPM Selection Tool
LeadingAge CAST has updated its CAST Telehealth and RPM Selection Tool, with current information on nine products the tool includes.
The tool includes a white paper with background on telehealth and remote patient monitoring (RPM) solutions. A product matrix and online selection tool help providers narrow the technologies available on the market. Case studies share learnings from providers that have used these technologies. This tool is one of 10 CAST Technology Selection Tools.
New Framework to Ease Health Disparities with Virtual Care
A new framework and materials from the American Telemedicine Association (ATA) address ways to mitigate healthcare gaps by using virtual care. “ATA releases SDOH toolkit to scale community telehealth delivery,” a recent article in Healthcare IT News, noted that the new tools will “help decision-makers target and fund interventions that address the economic burden of inaction and improve the health of communities.”
The Disparities Advisory Group Toolkit includes the following resources:
⦁ Digital Infrastructure Disparities Map, to review digital infrastructure by zip code or county.
⦁ Economic and Social Value-Added (ESVA) Calculator, which scopes the cost of telehealth-based clinical or social interventions. The calculator estimates the total value that an intervention creates for payers, providers, government, and business. It also analyzes the costs for telehealth solutions and the funding needed to ensure robust broadband connectivity in a community.
⦁ Disparities Toolkit, which includes a new roadmap to address inequalities in healthcare information and services plus additional resources.
