LeadingAge on November 5 sent comments to Senator Mark Kelly (D-AZ)  on draft legislation to establish best practices around quality and transparency for assisted living communities. Our letter highlights concerns around the potential duplication of efforts already underway to improve quality in assisted living. Additionally, given the significant variation in assisted living models and regulations across each state, LeadingAge recommends focusing on supporting state-specific solutions to enhance consumer understanding and empowerment.
