The Office of Inspector General (OIG) continued its audits reviewing Provider Relief Fund (PRF) payments to various provider types and released a report sampling 25 home health agencies all of which complied with the requirements of PRF.
In contrast to OIG’s audit of hospice agencies and PRF, which found 23% of sampled agencies to be out of compliance, the sampled home health agencies had no issues identified in the audit and therefore OIG made no recommendations for further action. Of the 25 selected home health agencies, 14 agencies reported both expenses and lost revenues, six agencies reported only expenses, and five agencies reported only lost revenues.
This is a reminder to LeadingAge members who received PRF to ensure they have properly documented all information on the expenditures and lost revenue. Find more information from LeadingAge on the PRF here.
