June 4, 2021, Washington, DC—Technology is critical to older adults’ empowerment and ability to age well, across all care settings — a truth made clear throughout the coronavirus pandemic. As our country emerges from the COVID-19 crisis, providers of healthcare services for older adults, technology experts, payers and other players come together to discuss the role of health information technology in collaboration during healthcare crises.

Starting Tues. June 8, LeadingAge’s Center for Aging Services Technologies (CAST) convenes the annual CCHIT Innovation Summit (now in its 17th year) to address how technology connects with the healthcare ecosystem in the era of health and payment reforms. This year’s post-pandemic focus is on the role of a broad array of technology and innovations in managing population health in crises across the continuum of care and the whole collaborative care eco-system.

Sessions will address critical issues that emerged over the past year, including tech’s role in care coordination during crises and infection prevention and control. Panelists will share lessons learned, explaining the impact on innovative care delivery and payment models that technology enables, focusing on health IT, interoperability, and health information exchange modalities.
