Following are the latest coronavirus news and resources.

A Message From Our Board Chair
LeadingAge Board Chair, Carol Silver Elliott, offers this message to members about taking care of ourselves during times of intense stress.

As people who have devoted our careers to caring for others, sometimes we even feel a twinge of guilt at the thought that we are taking a moment to put ourselves, and not someone else, first. Can we spare that time to care for ourselves?

Read the entire message from Carol on her concerns about caring for the caregiver.

National Media is HearIng YOUR Story
LeadingAge is aggressively pursuing our national media efforts, telling the story of aging services providers across the continuum of care and calling out the failures of the federal response to the pandemic. In June alone, we held a national press conference, issued 13 media statements, fielded over 250 queries from reporters, and appeared in 44 national media stories. Visit Driving the Conversation for all our statements, materials, and growing list of media coverage.

Want to support media coverage where you live? We continue to add new content to help:

Each time LeadingAge, state associations, and members reinforce our aligned core messages, we’re adding to the ongoing shift in the media landscape. Together, we’re gradually moving the narrative from a cacophony of blame and accusations to a more nuanced story of need, struggle, and heroism in the face of the worst pandemic in a century.
