LeadingAge’s advocacy efforts aim to continually make America a better place to grow older.
We are the trusted voice for aging, representing nonprofit providers of aging services in our work with Congress and the Executive Branch. Our advocacy is bipartisan, data-grounded, and evidence-based—and driven by the on-the-ground experience of our members.
We advocate for a qualified, committed workforce; dependably excellent nursing home care; affordable housing for everyone who needs it; innovative and integrated managed care; a high-quality continuum of home and community-based services (HCBS); financing for people who need long-term services and supports (LTSS); and a health care system that includes robust hospice and palliative care.
Click on the topics below for details on each of our policy priorities for 2020. We address some of these issues daily, and our work on others ebbs and flows. In all that we do, we promote adequate financing, responsive legislation, and thoughtful regulation that support the best care for older Americans.
