Caremerge Co-Founder and CTO Aziz Shares Industry Insights

Fahad Aziz, co-founder and CTO of LeadingAge CAST Supporter Caremerge, has been recognized recently in several publications. Aziz wrote a guest column, "How Artificial Intelligence Can Humanize the Senior Living Experience," for Seniors Housing Business. He also participated in a Q&A with iAdvance Senior Care, "The Promise of Voice Tech in Senior Living," sharing challenges, opportunities, and examples of voice applications.
In the Senior Living Concepts Podcast, Aziz shared insights into his journey as Caremerge’s cofounder, including what he learned from living in a senior living community, why “Facebook for health care” wasn’t such a great idea, and his advice for aspiring gerontechnologists.
For a Health Evolution article, "AI is here and it’s time to change: CEOs must adapt in the new age," Aziz noted that artificial intelligence (AI) is coming in a meaningful manner to help CEOs, who need to take in AI and new technologies with an open mind. In McKnight’s Senior Living, Aziz was quoted in the “Tech Time” article, mentioning clinical teams’ resistance to newer technologies.

Asbury Communities Affiliates with Albright Care Services

Senior Housing News reported that LeadingAge CAST Patron Asbury Communities has affiliated with Albright Care Services, gaining in-house pharmacy and PACE services.
“One of the many things that appealed to us in the pursuit of the Albright affiliation was the fact that Albright has skills and business lines that we don’t,” said Sandra Lawson, chief strategic alliances and growth officer for Asbury, in “Asbury Makes Pharmacy, PACE Inroads With Albright Affiliation.” “We also think that the organizations share the same mission and core values, and share very similar histories with Methodist roots.”
Asbury has eight senior living communities across three states, home care and pharmacy services, as well as adult day centers and HUD affordable senior housing. Albright operates two continuing care retirement communities servicing a total of 600 residents in York and Lewisburg, PA.
