This Week’s Online Coronavirus Policy Updates

Jack Rollins of the National Association of Medicaid Directors will be with us on Wednesday to talk about what to expect in states related to Medicaid policy choices over the coming year. And on Thursday, Dr. Ruth Faden of Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School will join us to offer insights on ethical questions related to how vaccines are allocated and offered. Paycheck Protection Program: Second Draw Loan Information for Aging Services

A key part of the December 2020 COVID-19 relief bill is a renewal of the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), including availability of second draw loans for certain organizations. The PPP loans are expected to reopen for second draw loan applications this week. Organizations may receive a forgivable loan of up to $2 million provided certain conditions are met. 2020 Dementia Care and Caregiving Summit Final Report

In the summer of 2020, the National Institute on Aging, National Institutes of Health, hosted a National Research Summit on Care, Services, and Supports for Persons with Dementia and Their Caregivers. The three-part virtual summit brought together individuals with a variety of backgrounds to identify evidence-based programs, strategies, approaches, and other research that can be used to improve the care, services, and supports for persons living with dementia and their caregivers. Dr. Robyn Stone, senior vice president of research at LeadingAge and co-director of the LeadingAge LTSS Center @UMass Boston, participated as a subject matter expert and steering committee member.
