Do You Know All You Should About the 21st Century Cures Act?

New rules around the 21st Century Cures Act are now in effect – but do you know how it applies to your organization? And if it does, what are the government requirements you should know about? LeadingAge’s next virtual event will cover all the implications for aging services and other LTPAC providers. The webinar tomorrow from 1:00-3:00 p.m. ET will walk through how the recently released rules support the seamless and secure access, exchange and use of electronic health information. Speakers include:

  • Kianna Banks, Nurse Consultant, CMS
  • Scott Cooper, Center for Clinical Standards & Quality, CMS
  • Johnalyn Lyles, Division Deputy Director, Regulatory & Policy Affairs, ONC
  • Alex Mugge, Deputy Chief Health Informatics Officer, CMS

Take Action Today

Aging services are an essential part of the nation’s infrastructure. Right now, we don’t have the infrastructure for aging services that we need. We now have the opportunity to invest $400 billion in home and community-based services as Congress considers the President’s proposal on providing these services as part of the next infrastructure package. ACT NOW by contacting your U.S. Representative and Senators and urging them to invest in our aging services infrastructure.

Building Communities of Strength Campaign

This week we continue to mark Older Americans Month (OAM) and advocate for support of the aging services care infrastructure. Each May, the Administration for Community Living recognizes OAM to acknowledge the contribution of older adults. This year, the observance’s theme "Communities of Strength," is especially relevant as the country debates the value of supporting our national care infrastructure. We’re at a critical time for our country to renew and revitalize how we support older Americans and their families as millions of us live longer. Join us all month and check out our toolkit of materials and ideas on how to participate.
