A Message From Our Board Chair
LeadingAge Board Chair, Carol Silver Elliott, offers this message to members on how freedom has taken on a different meaning during the pandemic.

I, like many of you, have watched the world begin to open up with a mixture of joy and anxiety. For those of us who have lived through the stress and challenges of COVID in an older adult setting, I wonder if the fears will ever truly fade. I wonder if the persistent worry will ever be one we can set aside and, frankly, I wonder if we should.

Read the entire message from Carol on letting ourselves look beyond COVID and begin to allow in a brighter light for the future.

NEW: Member Tools and Public Opinion Poll on U.S. Attitudes About Investing in Aging Services for Older Adults
As Congress considers bigger investments in affordable housing, broadband internet, and home care for older adults, LeadingAge commissioned a national survey to help ensure these provisions advance during the legislative process. The survey finds overwhelming backing for government investments to support older adults, across political party affiliations and geographic areas.

Now is the time to raise our voices to ensure that these aging services receive much-need increased investment. LeadingAge has prepared a suite of tools—including media outreach templates and social graphics—for your use in informing local media, elected officials, coalition partners, and community members about this timely opportunity to expand support for older adults.
