New Insights and Tools From LeadingAge
LeadingAge staff experts are developing essential guidance and tools, and curating the most relevant resources for aging services providers.

Responding to Negative Views on Aging Services During the Pandemic
LeadingAge members are taking a calm, caring, and thoughtful approach to this growing public health crisis. However, the stark reality is that, in the face of the coronavirus pandemic, we all are forced to continue to fight long-standing, negative narratives. We can assure you that we are carrying forward the truth about the incredible work you are doing in the face of this global pandemic. Here’s how.

Post Your Open Jobs Today
Don’t forget that LeadingAge is establishing partnerships with major national employers to help connect displaced workers from fields such as dining, retail, and hospitality with available jobs in aging services. To participate, post your open jobs of all kinds (including temporary positions and those that do not require certification) on the LeadingAge Aging Services Career Center. Postings are FREE to members to make it easier for you to fill staff roles during this unprecedented time of need. Learn more about how to post your jobs now.

The Challenge of PPE
Members are well aware of the current challenges acquiring personal safety masks, gowns, hand sanitizer, and other PPE. The typical manufacturers you would usually use have months-long waits or are restricting sales to existing customers only. At the same time, counterfeit products have been flooding the market—making it hard to identify trustworthy sources. Experts have advised LeadingAge that members should reach out to local and state governments for help getting needed supplies. Still, LeadingAge is reaching out to suppliers of PPE in an effort to identify safe, reliable supply channels for members to check with as a potential supplement to your existing vendors. We’re sharing the information we find on our Business Resources page.

Questions? Ask LeadingAge National, Your State Association, or Each Other
There are many ways to get help during this crisis. Staff at LeadingAge’s national office are always here for you. Contact our team directly or email us at covid@leadingage.org. If you have questions about local and state issues, contact your state association.
