New Insights and Tools From LeadingAge
LeadingAge staff experts are developing essential advocacy, guidance and tools, and curating the most relevant resources for aging services providers.

A complete timeline of insights, tools, and useful links is available here, so you’ll never miss an update.

National Media Efforts Continue
As you know, LeadingAge has shifted to a more proactive stance, calling out the failures of federal response to the pandemic and calling for comprehensive support across the continuum of care. Last week, we issued two media statements and posted a press backgrounder in response to the first release of national nursing home data and the President’s visit to a Maine testing swab factory.

Visit the Driving the Conversation page for all our statements and materials, as well as our growing list of media coverage.

Basic Care Aide Skill Competency Training Tool
LeadingAge’s Basic Care Aide Skill Competency Training Tool can help you maximize your workforce and maintain quality standards. Developed by EduCare©, this new program is designed specifically for the Basic Care Aide role and provides a foundation for the skills for a variety of settings. The training tool is FREE to members and is available now on the Learning Hub. You can use the new promotional toolkit to help you spread the word about the training as you redeploy current staff, and train displaced workers and others new to our field.

LeadingAge Members: Champion Together!
LeadingAge wants to help you inspire your staff and acknowledge the incredible work they are doing during the COVID-19 pandemic. Last week we launched a collection of staff appreciation materials you can use to celebrate the many ways your team protects, supports and champions for the older adults you serve. The suite of offerings includes organization yard signs, social media posts, and graphics to create your own products. You can customize your materials and purchase them at a steeply discounted negotiated member rate on Vistaprint (or print them in house or at a local printer of your choice!). Thank you for everything you do.
