Following are the latest news and resources.
National Day of Action Wrap-Up
On Wednesday, more than 5,500 messages were sent to Congress to demand real COVID-19 relief for aging services providers. Our National Day of Action delivered the most connections made in one day in LeadingAge’s advocacy history, and our presence on social media delivered more than 20,000 impressions using #Act4OlderAdults. Thank you for being fierce advocates.
(Note that media reports yesterday indicate that the House may be preparing a scaled-down version of the Heroes Act that the House passed in May. LeadingAge will be following up to advocate on behalf of members!)
Annual Meeting Inclusion Reception
Join the LGBT Network for the 14th Annual Inclusion Night! This event honors those who have paved the way for diversity and inclusion in aging services and celebrates the work our members do every day providing LGBT-inclusive supports and services. This year we are celebrating virtually with an emotionally moving and thought provoking program, and of course music and fun that is always an essential part of our Inclusion Night. Expect an unparalleled experience that you have come to expect as we rise to the challenge of being together in the way we can right now! Register today.
