Vice President of Legal Affairs and Social Accountability




Cory oversees all law-related issues affecting LeadingAge members, particularly but not exclusively in the areas of fair housing/discrimination, disability law, and professional liability and tort law. In addition, he is responsible for LeadingAge’s activities and policies related to Social Accountability and tax exemption, which includes education and resource development related to member social accountability activities and tracking and strengthening not-for-profit member organizations. Cory stays abreast of federal and state statutes, regulations, and cases that may have an impact on LeadingAge members and provides consultation, advice and/or direction, as well as provides information to our members and/or their legal representatives. He also develops and maintains relations with other organizations interested in long-term services and non-profit organizations, and supports legal issues, and serves as a resource to LeadingAge members, other organizations, Congress and the Executive Branch on issues of concern to members. Additionally, Cory oversees LeadingAge legal committee activities, including requests for legal assistance.
